A Radiologist Visits Kathy’s Home and The Hmong Villages

Notes from a visiting radiologist Blake Polynard:

We arrived in Pua yesterday, staying with our missionary friends, Mak and Narola.
Today we are spending time at Kathy’s home. Mak will be leading devotions tonight.
Next phase of our trip is a medical outreach to hilltribes…

Today was our second clinic day. We traveled to a mountain village. The weather was cool. The people were very friendly and it was a very enjoyable experience. I did around a dozen ultrasound exams. The team saw around 100 patients.

Today we drove to the Hmong mountain village of Maesanan and held clinic. Neng is the pastor of the church, prior village headman, and father of 6 sisters and 2 brothers. Pimchai is the oldest. We saw approximately 80 patients today. I did approximately 25 ultrasound exams in Neng’s living room. After the clinic we stayed behind with Mak and the Johnsons to visit with Neng’s family. This evening we will have a celebration for the four children at Kathy‘s home which are graduating this year. One of the seniors is one of Neng’s children. Three other of his children including the two boys, Panya and Sombat are there.
